Most of the students see the MBA program as a maximum achieve, it is, but before getting lose in classes and coursework, any MBA student should think about their future after graduation, something that worries some people nowadays. The future for an MBA graduate is quite bright because of the facilities an MBA degree could earn to any job resume, but the reality is that the job market is really competitive nowadays and international MBA students are the ones who are getting trouble into working at foreign soil after finishing a Master in Business Administration.

Most of the talented MBA students may have job offers even before graduation, some business schools do fix things for the students to work in the US a year after graduation, something that really helps the international student but at the same time it doesn’t assure anything about future.

Many students decide to seek companies or enterprises for a sponsorship apply, something that is getting even more difficult as the work competition increases and many companies are not willing to invest that kind of money and time for a single employee, but after all, a company’s sponsor can be really helpful for anyone willing to work in the US.

The H-1B visa

Any foreign person studying in the US has a F-1 visa which allows the student to stay in American soil for a year of practice after graduation, in this scenario the F-1 visa gets an OTP visa, what any student needs to do to get this is to apply for a practical job at a company. After the OTP year, the foreign student should go for the work visa; this is called H-1B visa and that is the one international people should earn to work in the US in some special areas. The American government has a different category for professionals in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and math called the STEM, but sadly the MBA program doesn’t apply for this category. Latin American student shouldn’t lose fate in earning the H-1B visa, as it is only given 65,000 visas for almost 230,000 appliances, anyone can apply for the H-1B draw every year available.

The cost of an MBA really concerns thousands of professionals whom want to achieve their top development in business skills. Earning a scholarship for a post-graduate program isn’t easy for anybody as the demand for those are increasing annually  what represents the importance of these for students.

There are a lot of scholarship offerings around the world, many U.S and U.K students do apply for them but it isn’t the same case for Latin American and Hispanic students, at those students are considered a minority in the population of MBA applicants, it is hard for them to pursue any scholarship even when there are some specific scholarships for applicants from Latin America and Hispanic countries.

Some of these specific scholarships are different between each other and have different plans to offer for students seeking for study funds. The National Society of Hispanic MBAs better known as NSHMBA have an alliance fund with many universities called University Partnership Program, which allows scholarship for outstanding Hispanics, the process for giving scholarships are based on academic achievement, financial situation, work experience; this scholarship is for Hispanics applicants born in the United States. Another educational fundraiser for Hispanic Americans is the Consortium for Graduate Study in Management which was made specifically for African Americans, but nowadays it is open for Hispanics and Latin American as well as other groups in the US. There are 17 business schools that are allied with the CGSM that accept those scholarships, allowing the professional to apply to 6 different schools at the time.

MBA in Finance scholarship

Another important scholarship is the one that the Robert Toigo MBA Fellowship offers. Like the Consortium for Graduate Study in Management, Robert Toigo offers scholarship not only to Latin and Hispanic Americans, but the difference between each other is that Toigo is specialized in MBA in Finance, being the only MBA alliance that covers this kind of program. The Toigo Fellowship covers the traditional finance program as well as finances in real state-development, investment for institutions, public service and many other alternative financial paths. It also offers scholarship for Pre-MBA programs for younger applicants.
